This exciting high tech manufacturing and research facility designed by architects Toland Williams is proposed for the southern precinct of Macquarie University North Ryde Campus.

The structure of the building incorporates large 12.6m span post-tensioned floor slabs designed for vibration control for manufacturing using microscopes. Other unique features are the anchor chamber and noise and vibration isolation structures located in the building to assist the companies audio technicians and scientists.

Key structural design features for this project include the following:-

  • Vibration audit and control
  • Major floor plate spans to 13m allowing column free 'open' floor plates
  • High floor loads for manufacturing use
  • Construction staging allowance
