This major 37,000m2 distribution centre for ADRT in Minto was designed for Australand.  The 272m x 150m warehouse with 10.8m minimum clear stackable storage height has a large open 10.5m x 36m max column grid.  An innovative warehouse slab incorporating the latest joint and mix designs to achieve large joints spacings and flat slabs. Despite the structure including large 10m & 20m cantilevered loading bays, high exposure to wind, connections optimised for ease of fabrication and poor ground conditions a structural steel tonnage of 14.6 kg/m2 was achieved from a design budget of 16 kg/m2.
